A Message from the Creator of Henry the Hand

I am a solo-practice family physician in Cincinnati, Ohio. With the collaboration of many others, I created Henry the Hand to help teach children "Clean Hand Awareness". I would like to thank everyone for their efforts in the early stages of this program, which I would like to see spread throughout the United States (and the world) to help improve the health status of both children and adults.

I developed this program while trying to teach my own children "hand awareness" in order to prevent the spread of disease in our own home. When my children were old enough to pull the charts off the shelves in the office they were shipped off to daycare, the petri dish for germs. I would like to thank Cooper, Farley, Eliza, and Adeline for their patience when Dad was "acting like a nut" trying to help prevent them contracting infectious diseases. Anecdotally they were healthier than others at the daycare and the neighborhood children who were exposed to "Henry" seemed to be less sick, as well. I hope all of you can take this Program, use it, and enjoy it with your family and community, as much as I have with my children and community.
